Local Move
The local move may be within the same city or to a neighboring city. A local move will not cross state lines. We provide the customers a high quality local move with our experienced manpower helping you at every step you move. In most states, the contract charges are based on an hourly rate. Typically you will pay for time and materials. The pick-up and delivery are done the same day with exclusive truck and crew.
Long Distance Move
At US-1 Van Lines, we perform long distance move as easy and hassle free as a local move. The charges for transportation are based specifically on the items you ship. There are also material charges for any supplies you may need from the moving company. The pick up and delivery are consolidated onto tractor-trailers for interstate shipments.
International Move
If you are moving out of the continental United States, your move is considered an international relocation. Transportation charges will vary depending on the type of service you need and which country is your destination. US-1 can organize container shipping via ocean liner companies from ports in select areas of the U.S.
Storage
We provide secure warehouse facility for your household items, if you require. We can store goods for any length of time.
Our warehouse is "containerized" storage facility. This means your goods are placed into sealed wooden vaults that are fork-lifted into position in our warehouse. This type of storage provides the best security for your goods
Auto Transport
US-1 can arrange for shipment of your personal automobile from most points in the USA. Vehicles are shipped on a tractor-trailer that carries only cars.
If you have an exclusive luxury car and need covered transport, this can be arranged for an additional fee. If you have a 4-Wheel drive or Mini-Van type of vehicle, you may need to pay an additional fee to reserve a top rack on the transport trailer due to the additional height of these types of automobiles.
Packing
We offer full packing labor services to fit your packing needs. Our movers are experienced and trained to protect your goods in the most efficient manner for transport. We carry the proper supplies on our trucks at all times. We use only high quality boxes and supplies for your move.
Antiques and Artwork
US-1 can provide you an estimator from our Art Division, specially trained for the extra care and handling required for works of art, sculptures, musical instruments, and collections. These professionals will communicate to the moving crew foreman the need for specific packing materials that will be required for these items, as well as recommend handling techniques during the transport.
